Doctor Arlene Spertus was born in New York, was raised and schooled in Bologna, Italy, and received her medical degree from the University of Rome in 1979.
After graduation, she returned to the U.S. to complete her residency in internal medicine at Long Island College Hospital in New York, where she also had a fellowship in rheumatology. After her residency, she relocated to South Florida.
Dr.Spertus practiced internal medicine and rheumatology in the greater Fort Lauderdale but then expanded her practice to incorporate medical cosmetic medicine such as non-surgical facial rejuvenetion, weight loss and hair transplantation surgery in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Why Mesotherapy?
Dr. Spertus became interested in mesotherapy after seeing the results of treatments on one of her patients. The patient had reduced much of her cellulite through a new and little-known treatment called mesotherapy.
After much investigation into this new and exciting treatment she was confident that the new therapy would provide benefits to her patients. She decided to acquire the best clinical knowledge available in order to offer it in her own practice.
She had mesotherapy training in Paris, France, offered by Dr. Jacques Le Coz and his team. Dr. Le Coz is recognized internationally as one of the most prominent mesotherapy practicioners and researchers in the world.
Now Dr. Spertus helps her patients achieve a new and improved look which restores their self-confidence through this state of the art cosmetic treatment.
